SEATTLE, WA. April 5, 2023 – Outdoor retailer and lifestyle brand evo has continuously invested in the mountain bike category since 2014, when it first started selling bikes. This year, evo is significantly increasing its commitment to mountain biking with more new product launches and collaborations than ever, new mountain bike evoTrip adventures, and more community giveback initiatives throughout North America. At the Sea Otter Classic, the world’s premier cycling festival, evo CEO Bryce Phillips will keynote the theme of this year's summit, "Burn the Playbook.”

“evo has been a resource for mountain bikers for almost a decade—from experts, to weekend warriors, to families and beginners but this season we’re laser-focused on bringing more female-identifying riders into the community,” said Phillips. “In 2023 and beyond, evo will offer a suite of offerings across products, experiences, travel, and community that deepens our roots on the trail.”

On the product side, evo will expand its vertical branded goods mountain bike line with the evo Enduro Hip Pack, a new lumbar pack, and the evo Essentials Frame and Seat Bag, a versatile saddle bag/frame bag to store all the essentials on your bike. Also, evo will be the exclusive retailer to carry the upcoming limited edition Wild Rye x Juliana women’s MTB kit – scheduled to launch in April – and will carry Santa Cruz, Juliana, and Transition in its largest store, evo Salt Lake, located at Campus Salt Lake.

This summer, evo will introduce new evoTrip offerings in famous bike destinations, including Whistler where the brand has five stores and operates the Journeyman Lodge. Leveraging convenient access to the Wasatch’s amazing trail network, evo will also launch a women’s bike camp based at Campus Salt Lake in partnership with Juliana. This trip date will be announced in mid-April and takes place in September.

Digging deeper into community impact, evo is organizing or participating in more than fifty bike-focused consumer events this year. Among them are women’s-specific maintenance clinics in partnership with organizations like the Colorado Mountain Bike Association and Sturdy Dirty. evo will also offer suspension tuning clinics at Snoqualmie Pass to celebrate the newly opened bike park. In addition, evo is collaborating with brands like 5.10 and Transition to support affinity group rides like the Pride Ride and the Women’s Rides, and working with regional trail advocacy groups to set up volunteer dig days across North America. Consumers can expect to see evo mechanics at bike races from the Pacific Northwest to the Mountain West to help racers with any issues they may run into mid-race, from fixing a flat to installing a new derailleur free of charge. evo's neutral support will be at iconic races like the Sturdy Dirty, the Cascadia Dirt Cup Series, WORCA Toonies, and a handful of Bike Utah's Mid-Week Enduros.
